Yvette Marcelin-Seymour

Yvette Marcelin-Seymour is the Senior Partner at TMW Law and a leading practitioner in the Turks and Caicos Islands, with more than three decades of experience advising on commercial, real estate, and private client matters.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom (1995), and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University (1992).

Mrs. Marcelin-Seymour was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1996 and was admitted to practice in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the same year. She was later admitted to the Bahamas Bar in 1998. She is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

Her practice spans high-value real estate and development transactions, corporate, banking and finance, immigration, and private client advisory work, including wills, probate, and succession planning. She is regularly instructed on complex, multi-party transactions and cross-border commercial matters, advising developers, financial institutions, corporates, and high-net-worth individuals.

In the corporate and commercial sphere, she advises local and international clients on corporate structuring, governance, shareholders’ arrangements and commercial contracting.

In real estate and development, she has acted on acquisitions, disposals, project structuring, joint ventures, and development finance. In corporate and commercial matters, she advises on mergers and acquisitions, shareholders’ arrangements, and governance frameworks. Her banking and finance experience includes secured lending, refinancing, and security structuring, frequently in connection with real estate transactions and development projects.

Her private client practice encompasses estate planning, probate administration, and wealth succession structures, with a focus on asset protection and intergenerational transfer. She also advises on immigration and regulatory compliance for corporate and individual clients.

Mrs. Marcelin-Seymour’s client base is diverse and includes high-net-worth individuals, property developers, financial institutions, and corporate entities. She is regularly engaged in high-value transactions requiring strategic insight and technical precision and commercial pragmatism.

Alongside her private practice, she has held numerous senior appointments in public service and regulatory bodies in the Turks and Caicos Islands. These include roles with the Labour Tribunal, the Ports Authority Board, the Human Rights Commission, the National Insurance Board Appeal Tribunal, the National Health Insurance Tribunal, and the Library Board. These appointments reflect sustained confidence in her judgment and governance experience across multiple sectors.

She currently serves as board member and legal counsel to the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association, contributing to policy and regulatory development within one of the territory’s most significant economic sectors. She has also participated in a range of non-governmental organizations and professional legal bodies, including serving on the Bar Council of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Andre Malcolm

André Malcolm is a Partner at TMW Law and is widely recognized for his work in complex real estate, banking and finance, and corporate transactions in the Turks and Caicos Islands. His practice spans the full lifecycle of high-value property developments and secured lending structures, and he regularly advises developers, private investors, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals on both local and cross-border matters.

He has extensive experience acting on the acquisition, financing, subdivision, development, and disposal of luxury resort and residential projects, including villa developments, condominium regimes, and mixed-use schemes. André is frequently engaged to structure and document sophisticated financing arrangements, including secured lending, debentures, share pledges, and inter-creditor positions, and to coordinate multi-party transactions involving local and international stakeholders.

In addition to transactional work, he advises on corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, governance, and land registry matters, and is known for his detailed, solutions-driven approach to due diligence, title issues, boundary and subdivision matters, and the resolution of complex closing requirements.

André represents a broad client base that includes developers, private lenders, commercial banks, statutory bodies, and international purchasers, and he is valued for his responsiveness, commercial awareness, and deep understanding of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ real estate and financing landscape. Erica Krygsman

Erica Krygsman spent the first 18 years of their legal career practicing in the areas of corporate law, real estate and land development, and estate planning at several law firms in the City of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Their clientele primarily consisted of entrepreneurs, and the work frequently involved cross-border transactions, structures, and planning due to Windsor’s proximity to Detroit, Michigan.

For a short period, she has also served as in-house counsel for the city’s power company. In 2015, she relocated to the Turks and Caicos Islands and has since enjoyed practicing with the attorneys at TMW Law, focusing primarily on corporate, real estate, and land development, and immigration matters.
